This song is a bit of a mystery to me. One of the first I wrote on piano, after the guy upstairs who played in a jazz band stored his Fender Rhodes at my flat and I started mucking around on it. Listening now it sound more like a paean to sacrifice rather than sex, which is, I think, how it was originally intended. Boh Runga turns in a lovely, and, yes, rather sexy, vocal.
